Sunday 15 October, 10 – 11 am
As part of the Christchurch Heritage Festival 2023, join Our Stories Project for a guided audio walk of the central city, where you’ll hear stories from people who were in the city on 22 February 2011, when the 6.2 magnitude earthquake struck.
There are more than 30 voices featured – you’ll hear from people who were trapped in the Forsyth Barr building, rescuing passengers from the Bus Interchange and polishing glassware in Ballantynes department store.
These powerful first-hand stories were selected from the CEISMIC archive with assistance from the Arts Digital Lab.
You’ll be provided with headsets to hear these first-hand stories as we walk through the places where they happened.
This is a free event. Register at Humantix.
